Noah (Dennis Trillo) returns to the Philippines with his girlfriend Eileen (Iya Villania) and his aunt Amelia (Vangie Labalan) to visit the wake of his childhood friend, Damian (Paolo Contis) who committed suicide after Noah left in 15 years. Before driving away, they nearly step in the path of a black cat but Amelia prayed and drive off much to Noah & Eileen’s worries.
They arrive at the wake where they met Damian’s father Mang Sebring (Cris Daluz). When Eileen look at his body, his eyes are wide open. Eileen, scared she frantically walks away and decides to leave with Noah. Before leaving, Amelia warns him not to go straight in the house.
Sigfried (Wincy Aquino Ong), an unemployed accountant, gets into trouble with his landlord. He needs money to pay for his rent.
Sigfried, in a stroke of luck, gets a call from an estranged childhood friend, Limuel (Ramon Bautista). Limuel tells Sigfried that his brother Biboy (Nicco Manalo) has been exhibiting psychotic behavior after his wife left him. Limuel, knowing that Sigfried’s uncle (Allan Forte) is the renowned Singing Exorcist of San Lazaro, asks Sigfried to accompany him in bringing his brother Biboy to the remote town of San Lazaro, ten hours from the city by car.
They reach the exorcist just in time, but the possessed Biboy eats the vocal cords of the Singing Exorcist, thereby rendering the exorcist incapable of performing the ritual. In the end, the injured exorcist explains that the spirit can only be defeated by feeding it a dark secret. Limuel tells the spirit that he has been trysting with his brother’s wife.
The story revolves around the abuwak race (Aswang). Thru the generations their numbers had declined and the only way they can grow in numbers again is through the rare ability that only the soon-to-be queen of the abuwaks, Hasmin (Lovi Poe) possesses.
Abuwaks look human when they’re in their normal state, but they can fly and move underground when they transform into raven type of bird. They can also burrow their way underneath the soil.
They are quick and strong, and they can attack and eat humans whether in complete darkness or broad daylight. Hasmin doesn’t like all of these, preferring to congregate with humans and even protecting them when her fellow creatures attack the village.
Meanwhile a hired killer named Daniel was forced by circumstances from he was very young. Like Hasmin, he doesn’t really like killing the innocent, and this reluctance is what leads him to the abuwak lair, suggested to be somewhere in Pampanga.
Along with two other killers, they went to Pampanga to finish-off the two remaining members of the family that they massacred in Quezon City.
This is a horror trilogy “about an antique shop where the pieces of the furniture each have their own stories from the past. The new owners get their little piece of horror,” says Joey Reyes. In “Kama,” Aleli (Gretchen, in her first movie after nine years) purchases an antique bed, not realizing that its previous owner of the bed is out to claim her son (Paul). “Aparador” is about a couple (Rica and Derek) who purchased an antique cabinet where a young man died inside before. In “Tokador”, an independent woman (Angelica) gets a possessed dresser out to take her soul.
The film opens with Vanessa (Iza Calzado) who was killed when she was visited by her long dead husband as her companion. The film then cuts to Romano (Robin Padilla), a retired military operative who goes into seclusion after being seriously wounded in battle and almost died, discovers that he has the uncanny ability of seeing ghosts around people who will soon encounter sudden, disastrous deaths. Worried of his brother, Romano’s blind sister Isabel (Rhian Ramos) persuades him to return to Manila with the help of Louella (Sunshine Dizon), Romano’s childhood friend who harbors affection for him.
An aspiring actress, Kristina (Katrina Halili), a widow, Lumen (Glydel Mercado), and her nephew, Eric (Hero Angeles) hitch a ride with Romano, Isabel and Louella along with Louella’s driver, Baste (Mark Bautista). On their way back to the city, the group manages to avoid a fatal accident on the road and their respective “sundo” or ghost companion by a twist of fate. After surviving, the group took their supper in a local eater somewhere in Baguio. Lumen, who was eager to pee, went into the bathroom where she died as a rail spike pins her head. Soon, Eric died in a series of odd reaction similar to Final Destination happened as he was electricuted.
The group realized that there is a way to cheat death as Baste and Romano nearly survives a large explosion in a public market killing a large populace. Then the group starts to die in gruesome ways and Kristina, Baste and Isabel died in mysterious ways. Romano was confronted by death for the last time in the rooftop and he fell in the tower towards the pool. He rose up the pool and saw Louella grieving not because of Romano but how she want to avenge her father’s death (in the film was a family matters). Romano turns around and saw his dead body lying on the pool and he was the ghost companion of Louella, the last one to die.
A pretty young maid employed by a wealthy and handicapped man gives her domestic services and more.
But as our story goes on, our young lass tries to find ways to break the chains that bind her.
